Ocean's Twelve

Hey everyone, just a short life update. Finally got back to the gym today after about 10 months of putting it off. Wearing my new blue t-shirt that I bought a few weeks ago :D

Also bought some new kicks to wear, the Adidas ZX Flux ADV's I believe they were called? They don't feel too bad but I also don't really feel too different wearing them over my normal springblades.

And I also bought some new pants from Politix. They were pretty expensive but I reckon they were comfortable enough to make the price negligible.

Lastly, I went and watched the new X-men: Apocalypse last Friday and I have to say it was a pretty big letdown. The Quicksilver scene looked pretty cool but the ending was terrible. It literally just had Jean Grey going super saiyan and shooting Apocalypse with some phoenix fire projection thing. Overall probably a 5.5/10.

Ocean's Eleven

Hello readers,

It's my first blog post update in a while. So from where I left off last time, I have officially quit Star wars force collection (SWFC). After 11 straight runs of Legions at War and 8 gold medals I felt my passion for the game die out and decided to call it quits. I'd like to thank my legion Forensic Fury for the help and time I spent with them, and I wish them all the best in the future. Shinryusei signing out from SWFC.

In other news, I got into Maplestory again during the holiday and purchased quite a few items to get into the 2m~2m range.

Also during the holidays I managed to secure a job at the airport working in Heinemann Tax & Duty free. It's been pretty fun over the past few months and I've met a lot of great people. I've also become quite knowledgeable in alcohol as a result. And I reckon the uniform looks pretty nice as well.

Last week I went and bought some new gym clothes to get some motivation for myself to actually go to the gym since I've gained some weight during the holidays. 

Finally, onto the pressing matters that people normally like to read about in my blog posts. Last year around the month of March I met a girl that I hadn't seen in around 6 years. On that day, I was just taking my normal routine of waking up in the morning and going to uni when I coincidentally met her on the bus. I noticed who it was immediately when she entered the bus even when I was sitting near the back, however she had trouble deciphering who I was since her eyesight had unfortunately deteriorated since I last saw her. We had a small chat, up until I needed to get off the bus at Uni since she was heading home after a visit to the optometrist in Maroubra. Anyways she gave me her number but I haven't done anything since then because she was taken. But now that she isn't; I still don't feel it's a good idea to connect with her again since it feels like I'll be playing a game that I won't have a chance of winning. Thoughts?

The Ten Tenors

It's been a little over a month since my last post here, so this'll be a big one.

Over the past few weeks I've been able to re-kindle my passion for Star Wars Force Collection (SWFC) a bit and I've been working on my form.

So right now my frontline is about alright. I'll probably try and go for a C3PO later on. But my current project is trying to max out the 4 Leia snipers at the back. Queens are way too expensive right now with so many players jumping to the light side since the introduction of the front row nullifying meta. 

                                           

I also recently achieve "Jedi Master" status in the game and reached lv100 to finish up all the challenge goals. Pretty happy since it was one of the goals that I wanted to achieve before retiring off the game. 

                       

Since the last time I've posted, there's been two Legions at War (LaW) events. In the first one we unluckily landed in 21st place and were 1 spot shy of the gold medal. However, in this recent LaW we were able to secure a top16 finish, a gold medal and the final lv50 epic starship.

When I first saw these two ships, I really really liked the design of the dreadnought better but my legion makes the overall choice and they do think that statistically a defensive ship is better. Also, an interesting fact, the Home One is Admiral Ackbar's flagship used in Star Wars: Episode VI. So, that'll be it for the SWFC update section.

Onto some real life stuff. My birthday recently came up on the 25th and I invited a few friends out for dinner at Wagaya and then for some bowling at darling harbour.

It was a fun night and the next day my fellow Maroubrans (best word ever created) Tim and Jono came over to my house to deliver my present.

A brand new PS4! It took about an hour to setup since I was cleaning my room. And they initially bought me Final Fantasy: Type-0 but since I already had that game on steam we went out to trade the game for another one of my choice.

A One Piece game :D I think it's my first One Piece game ever and so far it's been pretty good except for the part where I haven't figured out how to use Gear Third on Luffy yet. That's it for now, need to prepare for my two upcoming exams.

P.S. Accounting is a bullshit subject.

Nine

Been awhile since my last post. Apologies to the readers of this blog but nothing much has happened since the time of the last post.
Recently completed the 25th Legions at War event on Star Wars Force Collection (SWFC).

We did quite well, placing 23rd in the world. It may be around 3 or 4 more LaW events until I officially quit the game and sell off my cards.
Uni's been pretty boring as usual and Japanese is beginning to get crazy with all these 10+ stroke kanji. I occasionally play some alphadraft bets with Jimmy on CS:GO and LoL. Haven't been winning anything on alphadraft in awhile but Jimmy has like a 66% win rate (4/6) ?

This one seems to be his most dominating win so far.
Probably need a haircut soon and need to finish up learning all those new kanji.
Meanwhile, I've been looking at some really nice J-Rock clothing from MIDAS.

The Hateful Eight

So, recently I've been slowly been losing interest in a mobile app game titled "Star Wars Force Collection" and I'm not sure how to get motivated for it again. Maybe I should sell my cards? Not sure what to do.

I've wracked up a nice amount of 5 stars and my account is lv96 so I could probably sell it for about $1000? 

Anyway, I'll probably be quitting after the upcoming LaW (Legions at War). 

I thought Jimmy, being an Eagle in CS:GO, meant that he'd be good at analysing who the good players are in the professional scene. So I let him bet some Alphadraft money on my account and this happened.

Hopefully he doesn't lose the next upcoming head to head with this new lineup.

Seventh Son

So.... a lot has happened since the last post.
The first thing that happened was that I was able to picked up ACCT2542 and in doing so I dropped the finance course since I didn't need and also dropped the economics course because I wasn't sure if I would need to do it yet.
Anyway, here is my updated timetable:

So then, over the weekend I worked as a volunteer crew member for SMASH! (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) along with my good friend Ben Rusly. During this time I oversaw the PC gaming section with another crew member and was able to meet Hiroaki Yura to learn and play a demo of his new game titled "Project Phoenix". Here's a photo of my crew volunteer lanyard.

On Sunday I was able to meet GARNiDELiA's Maria and Toku. I bought their newest album titled "Linkage Ring" and got their signature as well!

Maria is so fucking pretty in real life, holy fuuuuuuuuck!

So later that night was the end of the SMASH! weekend which led to the gaming crew having to pack up for the gaming section. It took our entire crew about two and a half hours to move back all the tables and chairs to their proper places and also to re-package the computers. And at 7:30pm when we thought we had pretty much finished up with everything; the staff members realise that we're missing a tower. Oh well, Ben and I just legged it out of there and ended getting home at about 9pm.

Today I went to my first accounting lecture and after about one hour of listening to the lecturer going on and on about fair value I started to fall asleep. And what do we do when we start to fall asleep? That's right. We draw Pokemon.          (:

The Sixth Sense

So today I woke up and went out to buy groceries to use as ingredients for the dinner that I would cook later in the night.
At Coles, I was having trouble finding Thyme which I wanted to buy to put into the scores of the Sea Bass that I bought. And when I asked a worker in Coles where I could find it they replied with "What is thyme?".

Anyway the pepper sauce puree came out okay but the fish was a nightmare. Gordon Ramsay is like "Gently hold the fish skin down to prevent it from curling". So I did that, and guess what... IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK. I had 8 fillets to try and do it right but if I took it off the pan to early to prevent curling then the fish wouldn't be cooked. Whatever, Sea Bass with Pepper Sauce DONE.

The Fifth Element

So today I went to my Japanese lecture and felt like a scrub cause I couldn't properly write the sentences during dictation practice.
I guess four weeks of no Jap practice makes you forget even simple hiragana and katakana.
Learned about popular Japanese sports like やきゅう and すもう.
And also like 16 new kanji......
Like what in the fuck is this...


Anyway, after the lecture I went to Mamak with Pris for my weekly roti canai and then went home to get my stuff for gym.
FINALLY back to the gym after two months of not going.

I am number Four

So last night I had a conversation that lasted about 8 hours on random topics.
Apparently, a guy named B has one of the best personalities that you could want in a boyfriend; so I've been told. However, I knew this person for a brief while previously and have a completely different view on them.
And so a bet was made that B's relationship would end by the end of next year in 2016. I would take the side that it would end while they would take the side that it wouldn't. And in making bets there is always a prize at the end.
My prize was the ability to make the person do any ONE thing in which they may also be required to purchase things up to a value of $100. The other person would be given the opportunity to make me do THREE things but they would not be able to require any monetary value.
This is where the conversation started to turn... weird. They began thinking about what they would use their prize to do without even having won the bet yet. One of these ideas was to shove things into my butt and use me to smuggle those things across the country .______________.
Other ideas included acquiring a litre of my sperm and wanting to control one of my body parts for a day.

Today I woke up at about midday and smurfed a bit with William.
Later in the day, dinner for the night was spicy fried rice from Yum Yum Thai.
In the evening I proceeded to help Jono with his placements to which he got placed into Gold V.

Today, didn't wake up in time to eat Mamak with William and friends. Instead, I played some smurf queue on Jack's account and got the shittest cunts in the history of the game.
Macca's for lunch today instead of the potential roti canai and teh tarik combo that I would've gotten.
Overall, mediocre today.
