SoH: Sky of Heirs (Chapter 4 - Enter Axl)

The rainfall became more and more intense as Axl was chasing after Candice through the city. "This isn't good, I need to catch up to Candice before whatever's dragging her does... There's only one way. Emerald, please..." Axl's body began to coat itself in a green aura and in an instant an energy laced suit was formed. "I'll be needing two of you." Axl held out his right hand as two daggers from the Twilight Wings materialized into the crevices between his fingers.

"AXLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!" Axl heard Candice screaming in the distance. "I'll be right there Candice." Axl concentrated his aura energy and as he became aware of his enviousness against the enemy the aura surged directly into his legs. He boomed forward into the distance travelling several leagues in an instant. In a matter of seconds Axl reached Candice's position and threw his daggers with pinpoint accuracy, severing the grasp that the mysterious force had over Candice. "Uh oh, she's gonna kill me for this later." Axl had accidentally severed the force as Candice was just over the top of a 70-storey building and she began to free-fall. Axl quickly ran over the top of the building to catch Candice in his arms. "I told you I've got you." "You haven't got anything. We're falling you idiot." "Well, I tried my best." "Well try harder, I don't want to die today." "I could use Twilight Wings  to latch onto the building but it'd cause massive damage to the building. There has to be another way." Axl and Candice were running out of time. Just as Axl was about to use his dagger method an arrow made of orange energy spun out into a bed-like state to absorb the force of their fall.

"Being a burden as usual I see." Axl got up and immediately looked around. On the other side of the street stood a tall, incredibly good-looking guy with sharp features holding a golden, orange bow. "Casanova again!? Why is it always you man. I didn't need your help this time, I had everything under control." "Everything under control? Are you stupid or something? Knowing you, you were about to make a huge blow to the building just to swing off of it with no plan on what to do after that." Axl stood there, dumbfounded as he knew Casanova had just nailed him with exactly what he was going to do. "W-Wh-Whatever man, you were right okay. Thanks for saving me and Candice." "Don't thank me, thank Soulstring for saving your stupid ass. Anyway you should probably check up on Candice, if you haven't noticed already she's lying unconscious next to you." Axl immediately turned around to see Candice lying on the orange energy still unconscious. He quickly picked her up in his arms and turned back around to Casanova. "I need to her home, she must be unconscious from the shock of falling just now." "Wait, before you go, what happened to randomly make both you and Candice fall off a building?" "We were riding our bikes home through the park when some guy just randomly appeared in front of us and it started to rain. He disappeared before I could properly make out his face but then Candice suddenly got swept off her bike started to get dragged away by some invisible force." "I see, interesting. Well we can let the group know about this tomorrow at school." "Yeah, sounds good. What are you doing at this Cafe in the city though?" "Oh, I'm just here with Anne, she's inside the Cafe right now. I think she wanted to try out some new Totoro-themed drink or something? Well, I'm gonna head back into the Cafe now. Make sure you wipe out people's memories of this event with the aura okay?" "Yeah, sure thing." Axl hazed the area with a green energy and then bolted back towards Candice's home. 

~Later that night~

As Reign was busy completing his homework his thoughts began to stray into the situations as of late. "I don't understand the meaning behind these attacks. If Kei's out to get me then he'll attack my weak spots. But I don't any weak spots. My entire group are all capable of readily handling things themselves. I just... don't understand." 

~Tuesday~

♫何度も何度も贈るよ君が探しているもの 迷いの全てを溶かして生きてゆこうForever Love ♫ "Alright, let's get this day going." As Reign was about to head out to school his father approached him ominously. "The stars aren't with you today, Reign. If anything out of the ordinary happens, notify me immediately." "Sure thing, dad." 

~At School~

Reign arrived at school early and walked up to the basketball courts to chill with his friends before it was time to head to class. "Woah, you're early today what's up man?" "Nothing, I just happened to come early I guess." "Really? You weren't hoping to try and see Crystal early in the morning?" Ashtyn shoved Reign with a friendly elbow as Reign tried to hide his face knowing that Ashtyn had just read him like a book. "Jokes aside, Axl encountered a guy yesterday that sounds like Kei." "Yeah he appeared out of nowhere and tried to kidnap Candice. Luckily I was fast enough to save her." "You mean I saved both of you, right?" "Hahahaha, I just crack up at the sound of hearing that Axl saved someone." "Yeah, Axl probably screwed up somewhere along the way knowing him. By the way Reign, you wanna go get some food from the canteen before class?" "And I'm guessing you want me to pay for it, right?" "Yeah. Let's go get some pies." Shortly after, the bell rings signalling the first class of the day.

"Okay class, settle down settle down. For today we have... Oh, would you look at that! We have another transfer student starting in our class today. Come in now, please." "Oh man, another one?" "Yeah what gives, we just had a new transfer student." A girl with a petite figure, Asian features and long black hair slowly stepped into the room while turning her head to view the faces of the class. Ashtyn's eyes widened as he instantly realized who the girl was as she walked in. "It can't be." "Hello and welcome to the class. How about you say a few words to the class to introduce yourself." 

"Hi everyone, my name is..."

"Who the hell are you?" "My name doesn't matter, you won't be alive to remember it anyway." "We'll see about that." "Reign hold on!!" Reign refused to listen as he charged toward the ghostly figure with his violet sword, Darkest, in his hand. As he lunged forward to perform a vertical slash on the ghostly figure, the figure drew his own sword and used its scabbard to block the blow. "Not bad; but you'll need to do a whole lot more to get through Avalon." "How about this then!?" Reign suddenly vanished and then appeared behind the ghostly figure making an attempt to strike him down instantly. The figure swiftly moved his own blade to block Reign's strike without turning around. "Striking a person's back, not very honourable are you?" "What is honour compared to victory?" Taking advantage of the moment, Ashtyn charged in to smash the ghostly figure with a straight as he was preoccupied with Reign. The blow connected causing massive damage to the ghostly figure as he was knocked several metres away. "Don't forget that I'm here too, idiot". The ghostly figure slowly got up as he was recovering from the blow. "Mark my words, you two punks won't live to the next rainfall. You're lucky that I'm out of time for now... Kei, remember it. It will be the last name you say before you die." Kei raised his sword as he dematerialized from where he stood.

"Well that was all pretty weird. Die by the next rainfall? I'd like to see him try." "Yeah he wasn't really that strong. Anyway I guess I'll head home now." "Hey wait, don't you wanna go grab some dinner with me?" "Uhh, aren't you supposed to have dinner with Emily?" "Oh right, I forgot about that. Well, you wanna come anyway?" "Nar, I'm good. You really should treat Emily better though." "Yeah I'm working on it. Anyways, I'll see you later." "Laters."

~Later that night at the dinner table~

"Hey Dad, just wondering.. would you happen to know a guy called Kei?" Both Reign's father and mother dropped their utensils at that moment. "Where did you hear that name Reign?" "He appeared before Ash and I today, and engaged us in somewhat of a small skirmish" "If he's appeared then that mean's they're starting to get serious already." "Getting serious? For what?" "Oh Reign, you don't understand how special you are yet." "You'll find out in due time Reign. For now, try to stay out of harm's way."

~Monday~

As Reign finished putting on his uniform his father walked in the room before heading out for work. "Watch yourself out there today. Kei will definitely be coming back soon." "Got it."

~At School~

As class was about to start, a student stepped into the room with only a single shoe showing at first. Kaiser in his slouched, laid-back position quickly saw the shoe. "Ha, I know who that is, there's only one person in this school that goes around with Yeezy 350 Pirate Black 2.0's; and that's Nidus." "Man do you have to announce it every time I come into the classroom? And besides you're the one always walkin' around in those same flyknits." "Oi, different colours, different shoes." "Whatever, it's still a flyknit." 

"Man, Emily was pissed at me the other day." "Let me guess, you were late in having that dinner date with her." "I was only an hour late. Give me a break." "Sometime's I wonder how Emily puts up with you." 

~Later that day~

"Hey, I know it's a Monday, but do you guys wanna go grab some Mina's (Pizza) after school?" Yeah, sounds good." "Count me in." "Alright, let's do it." The bell rang forty-five minutes later followed by a sound of joy by the students throughout the hallways as the schoolday ends. "Hey, you know Reign you should go ask Crystal and see if she wants to come with us." "Not sure if serious. And besides it'd be weird for one girl to hang out with four guys." "How about this, if you can get her to come then I'll bring Emily along." "Uhh, shouldn't you already be bringing Emily regardless of this?" "Nar, it's all good." "Uhh, well.. I mean, I don't even know what I'm gonna say." "I'll bring Yecart as well if it makes it less awkward." "Yeah, see even Nidus is bringing along his girl. That pretty much means you're asking Crystal or else you're a pansy." "But I don't even know what to say..." "Oi, Kaiser give him a demo." "Wait, what. Why am I getting involved in this now? I can't be bothered." "Come on, man. That brunette over there's been checking you out all day. Just go show him how its done." "Fine. I'm only doing this for you once Reign." Kaiser got up from his slouched position and walked over to the brunette. "Hey, wanna go get something to eat?" The girl stood up from her seat before Kaiser could even explain what they would be eating. "And that Reign, is how you do it." "What? I didn't even learn anything from that." "Pansy?" "Kaiser spoke like 3-4 words or something. And I don't have the good looks that Kaiser does." "Bro, chill. You can do this go on." Reign got up from his chair hesitantly and walked over to Crystal who was busy packing her materials from class. "Hey, Crystal." Crystal looked up at Reign and smiled. "Oh hey, what's up Reign?" "Uhh.. I'm uhhm wondering if you'd like to grab something to eat after this?" "I'd really like to, but I have tutoring to go to in the afternoon so I can't. Sorry, maybe another time." "Alright, next time then." 

With Reign's attempt ending in failure, Ashtyn and Nidus call up Emily and Yecart to make it a group of seven as the party makes their way to Mina's bakery. The group finds a table to sit at and then order the pizzas. "Reign's shout cause he didn't get the girl." "What? Far out fine. Hi, just wanna get seven half meat, half cheese pizzas." As the pizzas arrived to the table and the group began to dig in to their food, an unworldly tune began to play. "Really!? Just as the pizzas come out?" 

Reign, Ashtyn, Kaiser and Nidus headed out of the bakery as the entire block was swarmed with dozens of mysterious figures. "Finally, I can get into some of the fun that you two were talking about." "I just wanna eat my pizza. Let's get this over with."

Two swords forged from black aura materialised onto Kaiser into their sheaths. The Odachi and Kodachi, named Yin and Yang, were twin swords forged by the same blacksmith and passed down the Trace family line. Kaiser drew the Odachi, Yin, from its sheath to reveal the jet black colour of its blade contrasted with the serene white pigment of its hilt. "It's time for some fun." "Hey, give me a moment too." Nidus' eyes began to glow a lightning-blue colour as the aura embossed an electrified blue suit over his body. He held his hand in front of him as a blue bolt flashed into his palm and the three-section staff, Meteora, emerged. "Okay, let's go."

Kaiser's Odachi glowed with dark energy as he flew with the blade in a braver fashion towards the mysterious figures. The blade pierced through each figure in consecutive blows with ease. Nidus launched his staff towards a mysterious figure at a distance that initially would not reach, however, the staff began to elongate and smashed straight into the mysterious figure at an unprecedented velocity. Reign and Ashtyn unleashed their usual onslaught of tag-team assaults to quickly clean up any leftovers that were attempting to retreat. In a matter of minutes, the mysterious figures were no more. 

"That's weird.. Kei didn't show up this time." "He must've been scared with the four of us here this time around." "What a chump." "Whatever, let's get back to the half meat, half cheese. I paid money for this." "You mean I paid money for this." "Same thing. Your money is my money."

~Elsewhere in the city~

"AXLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!" Heavy rain was falling throughout the city as Candice was being dragged away deeper into the heart of the storm by an invisible force. "Don't worry Candice, I've got you."

Ocean's Twelve

Hey everyone, just a short life update. Finally got back to the gym today after about 10 months of putting it off. Wearing my new blue t-shirt that I bought a few weeks ago :D

Also bought some new kicks to wear, the Adidas ZX Flux ADV's I believe they were called? They don't feel too bad but I also don't really feel too different wearing them over my normal springblades.

And I also bought some new pants from Politix. They were pretty expensive but I reckon they were comfortable enough to make the price negligible.

Lastly, I went and watched the new X-men: Apocalypse last Friday and I have to say it was a pretty big letdown. The Quicksilver scene looked pretty cool but the ending was terrible. It literally just had Jean Grey going super saiyan and shooting Apocalypse with some phoenix fire projection thing. Overall probably a 5.5/10.

SoH: Sky of Heirs (Chapter 2 - Brothers, not by Blood, but Deeper)

Reign swiftly took care of the mysterious figures that were targeting him, however the school was left in shambles after their arrival. The house of Chaser, bearing an ancient lineage to the Aura has the connections to quickly reconstruct any destroyed scenes without a trace. Utilizing the aura, any bystanders who witnessed the chaotic events can be put into an amnesiac state to prevent knowledge of the events from spreading. Naturally, all events that occurred during Reign's battle were wiped from the mind of every student and teacher at the school. 

~Later that night at the dinner table~

"You know, they were quite a lot weaker than you made them out to be". "Reign, you need to understand that just because you were able to easily dispose of them today, that doesn't mean it will always be easy for you to take them on". "Dad I've trained with the aura for so many years now... pretty sure I can take em". The face on Reign's father beamed with concern. Reign looked up at his father's face and felt insulted at his father's mistrust in his own strength. "I'm tired after all that's happened today. I'm going to my room".

"Go get some rest, son". "Will do, Dad". "Goodnight Reign". "Night Mum".

It was a vision-filled night for Reign as he confronted his inner demons that tormented him about the lives that he took in the previous day. He twisted and turned constantly throughout the night as the surroundings of his room began to cave in due to his aura power going ballistic. Suddenly, an old man appeared within his dream.

"Reign. Listen to me. You have to calm down... The lives you took today weren't alive to begin with. There is more to this than meets the eye". "Who are you? Why are you in my dream..? Who's behind the attack!?". "You must figure it out.. before its too late.." The old man began to shift itself far away into the distance as Reign ran after him.

"WAIT!!" ♫愛が愛を「重過ぎる」って理解を拒み ,憎しみに　変わっていく前に…♫ Reign's mobile started ringing as his eyes widened and took him out of his dream before he could find the answer to the old man's words. He picked up the phone and dropped back into bed with the mobile placed in between his pillow and his ear. "Hey Reign, let's go to gym man". "What the hell Ash it's so early, I just woke up". "What are you talking about its one in the afternoon already". "Oh crap it is..? Well didn't you say you had something to do with Emily today?". "I do but there should be enough time for me to go to the gym and spend some time with Emily today, well, probably anyway". "Whatever you say man. You probably shouldn't take her for granted too much like your previous girls". "Haha, will do". Reign quickly took a shower, changed into his gym gear and headed down to his bus stop.

As he paced to the bus stop he looked up to see that Crystal was sitting there, also waiting for the bus. Reign, seeing her there slowly crept up to the bus stop as he began brainstorming things to talk about. Before Reign could make the first move, Crystal turned around suddenly as her eyes dilated. "Reign? You look fine. What happened yesterday!?". "What do you mean? Yesterday was just a normal day of school wasn't it?" "No, you were attacked and you had some strange purple blade and everything....." "What are you talking about? A purple blade? You must've been daydreaming". "No, it was definitely real. I saw it with my own eyes". "Come on, enough about what happened yesterday. Or what didn't happen or umm.. nevermind. Well! Where are you planning on catching the bus to?" "Me? Oh, I'm just heading down to the shops to go buy some groceries for dinner tonight since I have to cook for myself". "Oh, why's that?" "Cause my parents don't come home till late..?" "Right, well that's my bus. See ya at school on Monday". "Bye".

Reign finally arrived at the stop where his Gym was and rushed towards it to see Ash sitting at a bench just outside the entrance. "Late as usual Reign.." "Hey I'm only twenty minutes late. And besides I ran into a bit of a problem". "What problem?" "You know that new transfer student? She remembers everything that happened yesterday even after the Aura's decree of erase". "What, how is that possible? The decree's never failed to erase memories before. Unless she's an Aura user, but that shouldn't be possible since I've never heard of her name before in the 7 master families". "Yeah, I've got no idea what's going on either but hey, she's hot". "And again Reign, you're moving too fast. You barely even know this girl but you already sound like your whipped with one sentence from your mouth". "I'm not moving too fast. I'm sure Crystal is the right girl for me and besides, today was obviously a fated meeting". "Fated meeting what? All that happened was you randomly saw her, that's all. Anyway will figure out more about this stuff later. Let's go work out". Reign and Ashtyn headed into the gym and started engaging in various workouts for the next hour and a half.

A sudden familiar tune started to play in the background alerting Reign to an incoming threat. "This is the same tune as yesterday, right before the school was attacked". Ashtyn and Reign ran out of the gym as a dark orb suspended in the air, formed near the shops. Mysterious figures started appearing out of the orb one by one until Reign and Ashtyn were surrounded. "You guys just don't learn do you?" "I've been waiting for a time like this. It's time for me to have some fun as well". As Reign and Ashtyn strided outwards towards the mysterious figures their gym clothes shaped themselves into armour for battle. Ashtyn became surrounded in a reddish tone and suddenly in a pulse of red, scarlet studded gloves were enamoured onto his hands. "Alright let's do this!". Reign leaped into the air as Ashtyn suddenly hammered into the ground with a violent red fist. The ground openly chiseled around the mysterious figures as Reign came down with a circular slash to take down any of the ones still standing. Ashtyn then began to dance around the area, disappearing and appearing behind every mysterious figure in succession. He threw a straight at each of them with his gauntlet gaining strength with each strike as his anger surged. "They're too strong together. Call in the special and fall back for now".

The mysterious figures retreated into the shadows as the sky began to loom a dark grey over the horizon. A bolt of lightning struck the ground as a ghostly appearance clad in light and dark armour spawned from its wake. It slowly turned around at Reign and Ashtyn. "Finally..."

Ocean's Eleven

Hello readers,

It's my first blog post update in a while. So from where I left off last time, I have officially quit Star wars force collection (SWFC). After 11 straight runs of Legions at War and 8 gold medals I felt my passion for the game die out and decided to call it quits. I'd like to thank my legion Forensic Fury for the help and time I spent with them, and I wish them all the best in the future. Shinryusei signing out from SWFC.

In other news, I got into Maplestory again during the holiday and purchased quite a few items to get into the 2m~2m range.

Also during the holidays I managed to secure a job at the airport working in Heinemann Tax & Duty free. It's been pretty fun over the past few months and I've met a lot of great people. I've also become quite knowledgeable in alcohol as a result. And I reckon the uniform looks pretty nice as well.

Last week I went and bought some new gym clothes to get some motivation for myself to actually go to the gym since I've gained some weight during the holidays. 

Finally, onto the pressing matters that people normally like to read about in my blog posts. Last year around the month of March I met a girl that I hadn't seen in around 6 years. On that day, I was just taking my normal routine of waking up in the morning and going to uni when I coincidentally met her on the bus. I noticed who it was immediately when she entered the bus even when I was sitting near the back, however she had trouble deciphering who I was since her eyesight had unfortunately deteriorated since I last saw her. We had a small chat, up until I needed to get off the bus at Uni since she was heading home after a visit to the optometrist in Maroubra. Anyways she gave me her number but I haven't done anything since then because she was taken. But now that she isn't; I still don't feel it's a good idea to connect with her again since it feels like I'll be playing a game that I won't have a chance of winning. Thoughts?
